Hi John,
We received it (the TheraSauna™) yesterday. It took up 30 minutes to put it together compared to nearly 4
hours for the *(Chinese) Sauna because the walls were warped. This is a cadillac, the *(Chinese) is a jalopy. There is no comparison. We wondered why they
didn't put any insulation in the top part of the *(Chinese), why the metal over the ceramic cylinders looked as if it had been used before, why the craftmanship, even though it was on
the top and wouldn't show looked like someone had taken a chisel to cut it out, why the door
had a gouge in the top that was out, why they didn't use a better wood, had some seepage,
etc, etc. As with anything you get what you pay for. They don't even hang the wood to put
the seat on, you have to do that. That unit will hold the heat well. I have no clue about
the *(Chinese) because we didn't want to use it.
Anyway, my husband says I should be a saleman. He is getting tired of me exclaiming about the TheraSauna™. Awesome, well built, quality craftmanship, well worth its money.
We sat in it last night and again this morning. I can't do the nighttime. My body heat seems to never go away even with a cooler shower.

Hi John,
Attached you will find some very disturbing pictures of some of the damage on our *(Chinese) Saunas. We have had three saunas replaced and due to the final sauna requiring a licensed electrician to run the new wires and two more broken heaters, we finally requested a refund.
We are amazed at how much better quality your sauna is versus *(Chinese) Sauna, it really makes them look like cheap garbage in comparison. We were able to assemble the entire sauna in less than 30 minutes and the packing was quality.

Hi John,
It is night and day comparing *(Chinese) Sauna with Therasauna, the quality of Therasauna is outstanding:
Therasauna Quality points:
- Shipped in perfect condition
- Easy to assemble with great directions (less than 30 minutes)
- Much larger space inside with light dimmer and larger more comfortable bench
- Radiant heat through 100% ceramic heaters allowed us to stay in 60 minutes comfortably
- Built with much better quality wood and controls
- You return phone calls and back your product
*(Chinese) Sauna Issues:
- Shipped three saunas due to breakage and poor shipping
- Cracked heater rods just by looking at them the wrong way (very cheap)
- Wood is inferior and caused warping on the outer walls
- Heaters throw off much more burning uncomfortable heat and heater is constantly turning on and off
- Stereo never worked correctly and poor speaker system
- *(Chinese) Sauna charged us $2,400 for our sauna and is now selling them for $1,695 (without crediting us back the difference)
- No one ever returns phone calls and only emails with threats get returned, but no action is ever taken
- Way more parts to assemble, it is a nightmare and takes at least 1 hour if you know what you are doing
- It came with absolutely no instructions and is a cheap CHINESE PRODUCT!

FAILING Carbon Heaters:

The sauna we currently have at our home in Kansas is a Sunlight Sauna. We were told it was made in America – it was not. It was made in China. It’s not near the quality that we expected for the price we paid. We were also told we’d have it delivered to our home within 4 weeks. It took 10 weeks. I does, however, have a nice CD/Radio player that we use every time we’re in it. We purchased the Sunlight sauna primarily because there was a dealer in Kansas City. We thought if we had problems with it, we wouldn’t have to go far for support. We’ve not had problems with it, so I can’t tell you about their support.
The carbon panels work fine. They take a while to warm up – 20 minutes to get to 100 degrees F. An hour to get to 130. But, the heat is comfortable. Not knowing the difference between a carbon or a ceramic, I really can’t tell you about quality and sweat volume. I can tell you when the carbon panels were new, they produced a more even heat. Our sauna is over a year old and we use it nearly everyday that we are home (1 hour, 5 to 10 days a month), and now the panels seem to have a hot spot in the center of the panel, and much cooler around the edges.
At any rate, the issue of where it’s made and the time we spent waiting on it, left us not recommending a Sunlight Sauna to anyone else we knew.

NOT Sweating with Carbon Heaters!
Hello Tina,
Well, I have finally sat in front of a PC w/ some available time to
express a " Thera Sauna User's Confession ".
While at a conference last Dec I was informed by a couple of Health
Care Professionals, of how improved the new Sunlight saunas were. I
did respect their opinions so I schduled a trip to Sunlight's main
office while on a business trip in the Kansas City area.
I was very impressed w/ the new designs and especially the very
polished and impressive looking brochures. It was not appropriate to
actually try one the floor models so I waited for a couple of weeks
until I could arrange a session at a private home. I had some concern
since a few of the floor models new carbon type FIR panels that had
some obvious defective problems in the gray surface material
seperating from it's backing.
In mid Jan. I did try one. It too had the seperating issue on 2 of the
FIR panels . I let the unit warm up for 15- 20 minutes and after 44
minutes of sitting in the sauna my skin was barely moist. Since it was
a cold eve in Jan and probably low 60's in the basement location where
I used the Sunlight sauna I did want to hold out for one more trial.
My next session finally happened while in Atlanta on a business trip.
This Sunlight sauna was in a Wellness Center , It was late-spring and
in the mid 80's. So I'm estimating the office temperature was low
70's. This time , I allowed the sauna to warm up for a good 1/2 hour.
I did have a little better session , though , I was in the unit for
50- 55 minutes and experienced only moderate persperation this time .
This has been nothing close to the " soaked in sweat " level of
intensity ( of 25 - 35 minute ) sessions I have experienced after
using the TheraSauna 2 and 4 person models I have tried in the past,
and that was after lowering the settings after the 1st 15 minutes !!
Oh yeah, almost forgot, I must mention that the unit in Atlanta also
had the gray materail cracking as well. It was actually cracking on 5
of the 6 or 7 panels . So after seeing that happen on 3 of the 3
,fairly new models I saw and experienced my originally born in
Missouri - " Sow-Me-State " perspective has been more that satisfied
!!! ( To rule out defective operating panels , I did check w/ their
office regardeing the panel problen and they assured me it was only
cosmetic and it was issue was being addressed..)
The Sunlight FIR saunas are well marketed w/ fancy brochures , but my
experience speaks for itself . I am sure glad to have not wasted the $
4-5,000.00 in error based on an image on an impressive brochure !!!
Tina , I have done enough researching , I will be placing my order for
a 2 person Thera Sauna this week. Thanks for all of your help ...

To QCA,
I began with a less expensive, inferior brand 2 person sauna with toxic cedar until I experienced the difference of the Therasauna continuous action of the microns in the perfect range. My 4 person Therasauna is my insurance policy. I use it 40 minutes a day, while meditating and doing my pilates. (Sometimes I just take my nap in it as it is the perfect length for a 5'8" body!)
Having livedin Hawaii for 35 years and eaten mercury-tainted tuna a few times a week, I feel it is essential for ridding my body of heavy metal toxins.
Besides that, the Therasauna helped me painlessly slender down to my ideal weight. I now weigh 128 - exactly what I weighed in college - except that now I have no "dimples" or cellulite on my legs. I feel and look amazingly good for a 61 year old woman. Instead of aging, I feel the Therasauna is "youthing" me!
I love turning on my B&B guests/friends to the Therasauna - especially the ones who previously suffered constant pain with fibromyalgia. They thank me for providing them relief/

Dear John,
I remember my husband asking me to write you a note regarding the use of the sauna for treating Lyme disease, babesia and erlichiosis that our family has been dealing with...and I forgot all about it, until just now as I cleaned out my emails! Lyme disease does a huge number on the memory!
We started using the sauna to treat the Lyme last May and what a difference it has made in reducing symptoms and also killing the spirochetes that cause all of the problems. It has been wonderful to not be pumping our bodies with antibiotics and we are seeing huge results treating it this way. From what I understand if you sit in the sauna for about an hour at 140 degrees it will create an internal temperature of close to 102 degrees. This actually kills the the spirochetes and any other bacteria or parasites in your body. We didn't start at 140 degrees, but at 120 and then gradually built up to 140. Of course I am not a doctor so I could be repeating this inaccurately. All I know is that the symptoms very quickly faded away and I feel better then I have in a few years. I have practiced general surgery and cancer surgery for over 25 years. With regard to my surgical patients, I tell them when they have recovered from their surgery, that their work has just begun. I put my two-person TheraSauna outdoors in my backyard in Miami, Florida (I know this completely voids the warranty!) But I thought you'd be interested to know that the sauna withstood not one but TWO hurricanes last year and is still going strong. I have it protected beneath a plastic enclosure on 3 sides, but the front of the unit is exposed and suffered only minor water damage. Needless to say, I am extremely pleased with your product. I am a massage therapist and a trainer in the health spa industry, going around the country letting other therapists know how to build and market a spa business. Your sauna is a part of my business in my own backyard spa (as well as a big part of my personal health routine), and I regularly recommend the units to other interested therapists. Great product. Potential TheraSauna users, May 22, 2006
The TheraSauna is one of the best investments people can make in their health.
I have owned one for 5 years now and I love it!! I use it personally for preventative measures, knowing that it is getting rid of the daily toxins that I eat, breath and drink! I also love it for making my skin soft and supple. I love having it available to me when I get a sunburn because it seems to take the discomfort of the burn right away in one sauna sitting. If I feel like I am coming down with a cold or flu the first thing I do is drink a lot of pure water and get in my TheraSauna.
With having such a strong belief in the benefits of the TheraSauna and being a health care practitioner of 15 years, I feature the TheraSauna it in my practice. I have clients purchase their own whenever possible and every client phones me to say that it is the best investment they have made in their health. I have had clients with breast cancer tumors shrink drastically, clients who have had lifelong skin problems disappear, clients with insomnia who are now sleeping peacefully, clients with severe toxic mercury poisoning who are now clear of it, clients who feel an overall energy shift, and clients who love it for the way it relieves them of pain and stiffness. The TheraSauna is a big help to loosen tightened muscles prior to giving a massage. It does ½ the work for me!
As far as a protocol as to the temperature, time of stay in the sauna and frequency I like to have my clients get in touch with their own bodies – they know what feels right for them. If it is a new client, I have them go in at 120 degrees for 20 minutes and tell them that they can turn it up if they feel it isn’t hot enough and they can stay in up to ½ hour. I have them take pure water into the sauna and recommend them to drink 70% of their body weight in ounces/day. (ex. Weight 100 lbs – drink 70 oz pure water each day). I think a good supplement is a must for everyone and I have some that I recommend.
Personally, I like to go in my TheraSauna at least 3 times/week for 25-30 minutes at 130-135 degrees. I don’t like to go in on the first or second day of my moon cycle as it seems to produce more circulation and blood flow.
I could go on and on about the benefits of TheraSauna. I think everyone should own one!

I have had my sauna for several years and I am convinced that my daily use of it has enhanced my health and sense of well-being in myriad ways. I would not be without one. That said, a product is only as good as those who stand behind it; unfortunately, whether they do, or will, is something often discovered too late. I just can’t begin to thank you enough for introducing your TheraSauna™ to me. I was in such severe back pain. I kept putting off going to my doctor because, well what can a doctor really do for your back – give you pain medicine, advise you to not do anything strenuous and to stay in bed. All of the things you already know you should do. I really was interested in getting started with a program of yours. When I injured my back, I kept calling to cancel my appointment. When I called again to cancel and told you why, you told me of the medical benefits your TheraSauna™ has to offer and immediately faxed me the information for me to see myself. I had made my mind up that day I had to do something to end this painful misery. I was in tears. This injury had been going on for more than a week. I love my TheraSauna™! It has benefited both my daughter and myself with several chronic medical conditions. Severe migraines and sinus problems have plagued me since young adulthood and until I began to use your infrared sauna the only relief I could achieve has been with medication. My husband and I purchased a TheraSauna™ in April 2000. He had been having chronic shoulder pain for about nine months. He had gone to the doctor several times and was highly medicated with pain medication and muscle relaxers. He was still having the pain even after all the doctor appointments and medication.
Then we decided to purchase a TheraSauna™ just for relaxation purposes. Well I never would have believed it, but it helped with the pain. Now he is almost pain free.
We would highly recommend a TheraSauna™ to anyone with chronic pain. It has helped him tremendously.
